What’s Included in Routine Vet Visits
Our preventative care and consultation services are tailored to your pet’s lifestyle, breed, age, and health history. Services include:
- Annual health checks with full physical exams
- Vaccinations for dogs, cats, and rabbits
- Parasite prevention: tailored flea, tick, and worming plans following a risk assessment, according to your pet’s lifestyle
- Vet consultations for concerns, chronic condition monitoring, or new symptoms
- Nurse consultations for weight management, post-op checks, regular injections, nail clipping and wellness plan checks
- Integration with our Wylie Wellness Plans, ensuring your pet’s care is consistent and cost-effective
Our team takes time to listen to your concerns and explain any recommended diagnostics or follow-up care. We may suggest further testing (e.g., blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound) if indicated during your consultation.
Vaccination Protocols by Species
Dog Vaccinations
We routinely vaccinate dogs for:
- Leptospirosis
- Distemper
- Parvovirus
- Viral Hepatitis
- Parainfluenza
Puppies receive their first dose from eight weeks, with socialisation possible after 12 weeks. We also offer kennel cough vaccines (Bordetella bronchiseptica) for dogs attending shows, training, or boarding facilities. We follow the WSAVA vaccination guidelines to administer the lowest amount of vaccines needed.
Cat Vaccinations
Core feline vaccinations include:
Feline viral enteritis
- Cat flu (FHV & FCV)
- Feline chlamydia
- Feline leukaemia virus (FeLV)
Kitten courses begin at nine weeks with boosters at twelve weeks, followed by annual health checks.
Rabbit Vaccinations
We vaccinate rabbits against:
- Myxomatosis
- Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD)
These diseases are often fatal, and annual boosters are highly recommended. Rabbits can begin vaccination as early as 6 weeks of age.
Why Routine Care Matters
Skipping annual wellness exams or vaccinations puts pets at risk of avoidable illnesses, late-stage diagnosis, and unnecessary suffering. Regular check-ups help us:
- Detect health issues early
- Tailor preventative care to your pet’s needs
- Track ongoing conditions or medication side effects
- Keep your pet protected with up-to-date parasite control and vaccinations
This level of attention supports not only your pet’s long-term health but also your peace of mind and reduces the cost associated with health issues in the long term.
